I just heard Howard Dean speak at UCLA. I was really impressed!
Check it out:

He was charismatic and outspoken. Basically he said all the things you've hoped a politician would finally say. I think, if he's nominated, he could win- and I'm throwing my support behind him.

I like Dean, he's the one gf and I are for. Out of all the candidates, he seems the most intelligent, confident, and his stance on issues matches my own, for the most part.

An independent, eh?
Just what is it about Vermont?
(and why can't California have these people?)
Do you think he has a substantial chance?
They're both good people. Frankly, anything's better than what we've got!
Brandiflakes- i couldn't agree with you more. I love Dean's stance on most issues- entirely in sinc with my own. Personally, I'm not pro-death penalty, but I do respect his explanation as to why he is. It's fairly balanced and he admits the inequities in the system.
On other issues, like equal civil rights, education, environmental concerns, and national security, I absolutely concur.
(And you guys all know I'm a leftist- right?)

Lulu:
I don't think Bernie's running, and if he did, I doubt he'd have a prayer of making it. But I've always had a fond spot in my heart for the old coot. I mean, he wears bowties. Wouldn't you like to see a president wearing a bowtie?

Nah...Paul Simon tried that back in '88...it isn't something that endears the voters...
